报告人简介： 何向伟教授，1988年本科毕业于复旦大学，1991-1997年担任美国贝勒医天美生物化学系博士生研究助理🤦🏿♀️，1997年获得贝勒医天美生物化学博士学位👱🏼，1998-2001年在美国麻省理工天美生物系做博士后研究🌊，期间获得博士后奖学金（美国国立卫生研究院 NRSA 奖）。2001 -2004年担任德州大学休士顿医天美生物化学和分子生物学系👶🏿、微生物学系助理教授，2004-2013年担任贝勒医天美分子及人类遗传学系助理教授、副教授👨🏻🌾，从2013年7月起开始担任浙江大学生命科学研究院教授🧑🧑🧒🧒、资深研究员🎻。
报告摘要🩶：Epigenetic mechanisms play critical roles in controlling expression of the genome. By definition (epi-GENETIC), the functional states of these mechanisms are inherited through cell divisions. It is conceivable that stable epigenetic inheritance is essential for maintaining proper transcription of the genome and thereby, the distinct cellular characteristics.
However, in comparison to genetic stability, little is known how epigenetic stability is achieved and what may influence the accuracy of epigenetic inheritance. Research in He laboratory is focused on establishing the methods for quantifying epigenetic stability and using these methods to delineate the molecular mechanisms modulating nucleosome-mediated epigenetic stability.
